Do you really want to understand Arrowhead? How do we (staff, members and volunteers working together) help people, who often, though not always, arrive ‘broken’ (or at least told by society they are “broken”) and in tears, get back on their feet? Even back to having a spring in their step. How does giving out dry socks connect to a safer Sunshine Coast? How does a $25 donation lead to … healthy boundaries and a sense of purpose? Or knowledge, skills and community? If you want to understand our model, take 3 minutes and read on...
Early in 2025 it was suggested that we try to create a “Logic Model”. We didn’t know what that was … but after a little research we found out that a Logic Model is “a visual roadmap that maps a program's resources (inputs) to its activities, then to its direct results (outputs), and finally to the broader changes (outcomes/impact) it aims to achieve, explaining how and why a program is expected to work and create change.” Well we love a challenge, so over a few months staff and members worked together (for hours and hours) to create the Arrowhead Logic Model. It was such an amazing, and informative, experience for us all. But, it was not the easiest thing to show other people, rather on the text heavy side.
And so we decided we needed to create a visual representation. Again we worked together and created this image - the Seeds of Hope - Arrowhead Logic Model. A huge thank you goes to Rachel for her amazing artistic skills. It now sits proudly on the wall in the dinning room. We look at it every day. Take a few moments to explore the image, zoom in for the little details and zoom out to see the big picture. We hope you love it as much as we do.
As always, if you want to know more about Arrowhead reach out to us and we can arrange for a tour (and you can stay for a yummy lunch too).
